FAQ
How long will it take until I will see results?
This will depend on many factors that contribute to making each individual unique. But when it comes to learning skillful behaviours (becoming functional and adaptive problem solvers) it is anything but certain and linear. Sometimes we will see and feel progress, other times we will regress and experience more errors, and sometimes we will remain in the same spot. All of which creates a much more nonlinear approach to development and a learning process that is proven to be much more transferrable, highly effective, and authentic when it comes to building highly skillful and adaptable performers.
FAQ
Why have we continued to do the same movement and skill for multiple weeks?
No two movers are built the same which is why no two movers will move the same. So it makes no sense that everyone will learn at the exact same rate. So when it comes to the learning process, what is found to be effective for one individual may actually be ineffective, dysfunctional, and even dangerous for another and because of this, some weeks are similar because we are continuing to find and establish what is the most functional coordination pattern and way of moving for the individual’s unique body, capabilities, and tendencies.
FAQ
What if I do not get the results I want?
The biggest reason for this does not result from the program and inabilities to learn certain skills or movements, but more so because of the mindset and approach the learner has to the process. It is more about the rate at which learning and results will occur, and less about wondering if they will. It is dependent on the athlete’s willingness to not only invest into an unfamiliar, messy, and uncertain approach to training, but to remain disciplined and consistent for the long game especially when they do not see the immediate results. Most of all, the work will work when you put in the work and take full advantage of all the resources and knowledge made available throughout the program.
FAQ
How much time am I expected to commit to in order to see and feel improvements?
When it comes to time the best thing you can do is change your perception of it by expanding the time horizon. Simply put, think about consistently showing up and executing intentional and purposful movements/reps as opposed to mindlessly doing it just to say you did it that day for X amount of time. Some movements and skills may require more time that day, or over the course of days and even weeks. If you can consistently show up with intensity and intentionality then you will be surprised at the rate in which you can learn something new. But be ok with not knowing how long it will take, after all learning is an ongoing process.
FAQ
Is there a more affordable option?
If you want big goals and want to make big changes, then big investments are required and one of the greatest investments you can ever make is the one in yourself. The greater the investment, the greater the opportunities you can be in a position to capitalize on. Change has a price, the question is how much are you willing to not pay to remain the same and to continue to feel the pain and anger you have in not accomplishing what you are truly capable of? Those individuals who are serious about changing, are those who understand the sacrifices they need to make such as money, time, discomfort, and feelings of not being good enough right now. These individuals are the ones who experience the greatest amount of learning and greatest amount of change simply because they invested and held themselves accountable. Which is why this program does not hold your hand, it does not do the work for you, you do the work for yourself and by investing in it, it means we get to invest in one another for the greater goal; to get you what you ultimately are seeking.
